DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH — ALVAN STREET AND CENTRO AVENUE, SUBIACO OFFICES
(1) Will the lease on the offices in Alvan Street and Centro Avenue, Subiaco, currently occupied by the Department of Health, be terminated earlier than initially agreed to or contracted; and, if so, will the minister please detail the arrangement? (2) Has the Department of Health agreed to or is it in the process of negotiating a deal for staff to be accommodated in offices in Osborne Park; and, if not, is a lease agreement for office space anywhere else being negotiated to house these staff? (3) If yes to (2), what is the cost, including floor space, rent per annum and fit-out, and which staff will be housed at the offices? (1) The Department of Health is reviewing metropolitan office accommodation requirements, including the lease agreements at Alvan Street and Centro Avenue, Subiaco. (2) Yes. (3) The total leased space is 3 614 square metres, with annual lease payments of $1 307 722, including outgoings of $253 522. Fit-out costs are still to be determined. The property will house the Department of Health’s information and communications technology program and staff from corporate governance and the WA Cancer and Palliative Care Network. (4) The cost of building works undertaken at Royal Street as a result of the relocation of the acting director general and his support staff is estimated at $13 611.
