Also tabulated is information on the wildfires attended by Departmental fire suppression staff throughout the State. The data include the location and tenure, date of detection and date extinguished, cause and area burnt in each of the years 2000/01, 2001/02 and 2002/03. Please note that for the years 2000/01 and 2001/02, only the seasons in which prescribed burns were conducted were recorded. The method of recording was changed in 2002/03 whereby the season is replaced by a “last lit” date.

(a-d) I seek leave to table information on prescribed burns undertaken by the Department of Conservation and Land Management in the south-west forest regions. The data provided include the location, burn identification, season or date and area treated for each of the years 2000/01, 2001/02 and 2002/03.
