I refer to the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley and the show cause notice issued on 27 May 2016, and I ask: (a) how many complaints have been received by the current or previous Minister, the Ministerial Office and the Department of Local Government and Communities in respect of governance concerns at the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberly, including but not limited to: (i) members of the Community; and (ii) elected Members; (b) how many times has the Department of Local Government and Communities sent officers to the Shire to visit and observe the operations of the Council; (c) what other forms of communication has the Department of Local Government and Communities had with the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley in respect of ongoing concerns leading to the show cause notice; and (d) had the current or previous Minister visited the Shire to meet with and discuss the ongoing governance concerns: (i) if so, how many times had the Minister for Local Government met with the Council, who did he meet with and what was the nature of the discussions?

(c) Numerous email and telephone conversations.
(d) I have not yet visited or met with the Shire. While I am unable to provide specific comment on the meetings or visits undertaken by the previous Minister, it is my understanding that significant ongoing contact was maintained with the Shire.
