The Minister confirmed the meeting but stated this specific issue was not raised, though other operational concerns about the private operator at Kalgoorlie Hospital were.

Kalgoorlie Health Campus—Radiology billing
347. Ms Libby Mettam to
the Minister for Health:
I refer to the
minister's statements in question time this week confirming a meeting she had
with the private radiology providers from Kalgoorlie on 20 January this
year. Was the specific billing issue of charging patients for services they did
not receive raised in any way at that meeting?

I think I have been
pretty clear on this. That was not a matter that was raised. There was a meeting
in January. A number of issues and concerns were raised with me about the
private operator. Let me rephrase that. It was about the operations at
Kalgoorlie Hospital that went to the organisation that is in the hospital. As I
said yesterday, it was things like private referrals, signage and some concerns
about business viability.
