DRAFT TRANSPORT PLAN — RAIL TUNNEL —
MORLEY
513. Ms R. SAFFIOTI to the Treasurer:
I have a supplementary question. Can
the Treasurer confirm that he will be in no position, as he has just outlined,
to commit to a tunnel to Morley before the next election?

AnswerView source ↗

We will —
Ms
R. Saffioti : You just said you weren't going to be in a position
to.
The
SPEAKER : Member for West Swan.
Dr
M.D. NAHAN : We do our costing before we commit to the amount of money to
build infrastructure, unlike the Labor Party, which has repeatedly committed to
a line to Ellenbrook and has no idea what the cost is.
Mr
B.S. Wyatt interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Has the Treasurer finished?
Dr
M.D. Nahan : No.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Victoria Park, I am going to call you to order for the
third time. I have been very lenient with you. If you want to have a rest,
carry on.
Dr
M.D. NAHAN : We are getting on with implementing a long-term public
transport policy. We have identified the options and now we are getting on to
costing them and building the capital needs of this future.
