I refer to the agreements to support the Community Resource Centre Network, and ask: (a) Will the Minister table the report undertaken by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development that reviewed Linkwest's support services to Community Resource Centres (CRCs): (i) If yes, when will this report be made available; and (ii) If no, why not; (b) When will Linkwest be notified regarding the renewal of the contract to provide vital support services to the CRC Network; and (c) When will tenders be released regarding funding for the provision of CRC services in regional towns: (i) Will the tender be restricted to current CRCs, managed by either Management Committee or local Shire; (ii) Will the locations for the delivery of CRC services be specified; and (iii) What will be the process to tender for the deliver of CRC services?

(a) - (c) I have written to Linkwest offering an extension of their funding grant to enable the continued provision of CRC sector support services. This extension will provide an opportunity to undertake a tender process to secure sector support services into the future, and support regional development.
I am considering the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s evaluation report which will inform the tender for support services to CRCs.
CRCs will not be required to retender for service delivery for the next two years. I wrote to CRCs on 25 September 2019 offering a two year current contract extension to all 89 CRCs currently funded on a contract basis, and continued grant funding for 13 CRCs which operate on ongoing grants. This extension would allow the current contracts to extend until 30 June 2022.
As part of this extension, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development will work with the CRC Network on a future procurement process that will provide longer-term contracts for individual CRCs.
