Further to the awarding of the licence for the rights to operate (1) an Air Service between Perth, Kalbarri and Shark Bay with services through Geraldton for a period of three years with an extended option of two years and (2) the awarding of a licence to operate an air service between Perth and Laverton.
Given that only two public tenders issued for regional air services in 2003 were both won by Skippers Aviation, and that Julian Grill has stated publicly that he and Mr Brian Burke had worked for Skippers on both these contracts, can the Minister please advise -
(1) Did the Minister, her Parliamentary Secretary or any of her staff, meet with or discuss with Julian Grill or Brian Burke or their staff any issues regarding these contracts?
(2) If so, were Minutes kept of those meetings, and will the Minister please table those in Parliament at the earliest opportunity?
(3) If minutes of those meetings were not kept, why not?
(4) Did either Brian Burke or Julian Grill have any influence on the Government’s decision to award Skippers aviation these contracts?
