Since June of this year, how many, if any, exceptional circumstances claims have been made, and from what areas have they come? It is to do with Mullewa and east Mullewa. Hon KIM CHANCE

This is a difficult question to answer without having the facts at hand, and my answer may be inaccurate within three or four. I think the number is about 38 since June. The reason I think it is 38 is that I understand that 38 applications are still pending, and it seems to me that it is likely that they would have come in since June. I imagine they would almost entirely be from the north eastern wheatbelt.
