GRIFFIN COAL — LIQUIDATOR
1256. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Minister for State and Industry Development, Jobs and Trade:
I refer to my question without
notice 120 of 22 February 2023, the removal of Cor Cordis as liquidators of the
insolvent Griffin Coal and the appointment of WLP Restructuring as the new
liquidator of Griffin Coal.
(1) On what date
was the government advised of the termination of Cor Cordis as liquidator of
Griffin Coal?
(2) What
engagement, and in what format, has the government had or undertaken with Mr
Glenn Livingstone and Mr Scott Pascoe of WLP Restructuring since their
appointment as new liquidators of Griffin Coal?
(3) At any stage
during Cor Cordis's tenure as liquidator to Griffin Coal, did Mr Thomas
Birch or Mr Jeremy Nipps provide any advice, opinion or assessment to the
government regarding the enforcement of Griffin Coal's contract with
Bluewaters Power?
(4) If yes to (3), what was that advice, opinion or
assessment, and in what format was it relayed to government?
