14 days, the Commissioner of Police and State Emergency Coordinator, Chris
Dawson, provides me with a detailed verbal briefing on the current state of
emergency and makes a recommendation. Based on this advice and in accordance
with section 58 of the Emergency Management Act 2005, I determined the
extension was appropriate.
