I refer to the Busselton Foreshore Steering Committee (Steering Committee) and the Minister’s letter to the Member for Vasse of 13 February 2009, in which the Minister states that it would, ‘be prudent to take the matter to Cabinet in advance of the Steering Committee commencing its work so that Cabinet is briefed on the proposal, its proposed objectives and has given some direction in relation to the financial parameters of the project’, and ask -
(1) Has the membership of the Steering Committee been finalised?
(2) If no to (1), when does the Minister expect that the membership will be finalised?
(3) If yes to (1), will the Minister detail the membership of the Steering Committee?
(4) If no to (3), why not?
(5) Have the terms of reference of the Steering Committee been finalised?
(6) If no to (5), when does the Minister expect the terms of reference to be finalised?
(7) If yes to (5), will the Minister detail the terms of reference of the Steering Committee?
(8) If no to (7), why not?
(9) Has the establishment of the Steering Committee been considered by Cabinet?
(10) If no to (9), when does the Minister expect that the establishment of the Steering Committee will be considered by Cabinet?
(11) If yes to (9), what financial parameters have Cabinet imposed?
(12) In view of the Minister’s advice to the Member for Vasse of his desire to have the Cabinet consider the establishment and objectives of the Steering Committee in advance of the Steering Committee commencing its work, is the Minister aware that the Steering Committee has already had an inaugural meeting with the Member for Vasse?
(13) Will the Minister explain the reasons for the Steering Committee holding its inaugural meeting with the Member for Vasse in advance of Cabinet’s consideration of the matter?
