Yes, Optus is currently contracted to provide mobile and SMS services. This includes the supply of SIM cards to end users for mobile connectivity and associated network and messaging services.
Optus services are deployed across all Health Service Providers locations under a shared arrangement, with connectivity split approximately 50/50 between Optus and Telstra.
The Department of Health routunely reviews contracts.
