media statement dated 8 September 2015 regarding Wubin bypass.
(1) Is the
minister aware that there are four businesses in Wubin, including two roadhouses,
a hotel and a post officeQQQ ### QQQshop that may be impacted by the construction of the bypass?
(2) Were these
businesses consulted specifically to gain their views on the likely impact of
the bypass; and, if not, why not?
(3) Given the
likely impact on their livelihoods, has any compensation for these businesses
been considered; and, if not, why not?

(1)–(2) Yes.
(3) Steps have
been taken to mitigate the potential impacts on any businesses in the town of
Wubin. The design permits large trucks to enter the Wubin town site to take
advantage of the facilities within the town, including the road train assembly
area, roadhouses and other businesses.
