Day ShiftTransit Guards On Duty between 04:00am to 12 noon - 30 Afternoon Shift Transit Guards On Duty between 12.00 noon and 6pm - 54 Night Shift Transit Guards On Duty between 6pm and 1am - 60 Late Shifts Transit Guards On Duty between 1 am and 4 am - 3 This is per a 7 day week. (2) Shift length varies depending of type of duty. The minimum shift length is seven and a half hours and the maximum is eleven and a three quarter hours. (3) Transit Guards do not have dedicated shift rotations as staff are deployed based on timetabling of train services. (4) As at 26 August 2005 there are 230 staff currently employed, these consist of 220 Transit Guards (44 in training) and ten Supervisors. (5) (a) 15 (b) 1 employee currently on long term sick leave. (c) 15 employees currently on annual leave and another six are acting in other positions within the Public Transport Authority (PTA). (6) According to PTA records, one Transit Guard has identified themselves as Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander. This data is taken from the PTA's Anonymous Individual Employee Records which is part of the Human Resource Minimum Obligatory Information (MOIR) in accordance with Public Sector Management Division requirements.
