The Minister for Justice has provided the following reply: (1) The number of positions created due to the introduction of the purchaser/provider model, 1 March 1999, has been - (a) for Offender Management Directorate, 9. (b) for Prison Services Directorate, Nil. (2) Positions created since 1 March 1999 in Offender Management due to the introduction of the Purchaser/Provider model. START DATE POSITION TITLE 02/07/2000 Director Service Procurement 01/07/2000 Management Accountant 30/04/2000 Manager Courts and Custodial Services 13/03/2000 Manager Service Monitoring and Investigations 09/02/2000 Manager Performance Standard 09/02/2000 Manager Prison Services Contract 01/03/2000 Personal Assistant 09/02/2000 Senior Contracts Officer 13/03/2000 Monitor Acacia Prison Total Positions - 9 (3) $609,962 per annum, for Offender Management positions. Calculations Based on current Annual EBA Base Rate. (4) Costs associated with the employment of - (a) contractors is $65,000, for Offender Management contractors is nil, for Prison Services. (b) consultants is $6,500, for Offender Management consultants is nil, for Prison Services. in relation to the purchaser/provider model.
