FAMILY AND DOMESTIC
VIOLENCE — LIVED EXPERIENCE ADVISORY GROUP
1440. Hon SOPHIA MOERMOND to the minister representing the
Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence:
I refer to the establishment of a Lived
Experience Advisory Group, which was receiving expressions of interest earlier
this year.
(1) Given that
applications closed in August, has the selection process been finalised?
(2) If no to (1),
when is the process estimated to conclude?
(3) How often is the group expected
to provide advice to ministers?

I thank the member for some notice
of the question. I provide an answer on behalf of the Minister for Agriculture and Food, and the following answer has been
provided by the Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence.
(1) The selection process is
underway.
(2) It is
anticipated that the selection process will be concluded by the end of the
year. Appointments to the Lived Experience Advisory Group are subject to
approval by cabinet.
(3) The terms of
reference, which are publicly available, provide for six meetings a year, with
provision for additional out-of-session meetings at the request of the
minister.
