A total of 211 District Court criminal case lodgements* were made in South West courts (Albany, Bunbury and Busselton) during 2013-14 financial year and as at 3 November 2014, 163 of those have been heard in the South West courts.
*A case lodgement is defined as one accused with one or more charges with all charges having the same date of registration. Secondary processes such as breaches of penalty and breaches of bail are excluded.
For the purposes of responding to this question, a case is deemed to have been heard once a trial has been undertaken or a plea has been taken and excludes hearings of a case management type.
