(1) There has not been any specific amount approved by the government for any local authority at this point in time. A coordinated program has been developed by the Office of Crime Prevention with the use of specialist expertise to prepare a business plan on each nominated council that will focus on value for money, sustainable technological solutions for long term use and best practice.

However, if a person was to be employed to monitor the CCTV in Bunbury I am advised that several employment options will be investigated

(14) The position would not have access to relevant police data bases containing confidential information. If a position was to occur the primary function would be to monitor incidents recorded and viewed by the CCTV and communicate those observations directly to Police.
