(a) An industry stakeholder seeking to conduct a combat sport event submitted a set of proposed contest rules for consideration by the Combat Sports Commission (CSC).
Under section 62A of the Combat Sports Act 1987, the Minister, on the advice of the CSC, must approve rules to be observed in any contest and may also approve amendments to approved rules.
