I thank the member
for some notice of the question.
(1) Since their introduction on 31 January
2011, there have been 99 applications for a special guardianship order.
(2) As at 2 March 2012, a total of 74 special
guardianship orders have been made since their introduction on 31 January 2011.
(3) I am very pleased to say that all these
children will now have stable, permanent homes and no applications for an SGO
have been rejected since their introduction.
