SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY PROGRAM
1170. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Education:
I refer to the answer provided to question without notice 673
asked on 12 June 2024 regarding a grant agreement between the Department of Education and YouthCARE for the delivery of
the school principals' chaplaincy program , which stated that the
agreement would expire on 31 December 2024.
(1) Has the
grant agreement been extended or renewed beyond 31 December 2024?
(2) If yes to
(1), when will the new agreement expire?
(3) If no to
(1), why not?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) No.
(2) Not
applicable.
(3) The
principals' chaplaincy program will not be extended as principals
already have access to a range of supports, including the Department of
Education's Principal health and wellbeing strategy 2023–2027 ,
employee and manager assistance programs, and collegiate principal support.
