I refer to the new emergency helicopter, and I ask: (a) since it commenced operating, how many emergencies has the new emergency helicopter attended; (b) what were the nature of the emergencies; (c) of the emergencies attended, how many resulted in one or more patients being taken to: (i) Bunbury Regional Hospital; and (ii) a hospital in Perth; and (d) how many times has the rescue helicopter been used to transport patients from Bunbury Regional Hospital to a hospital in Perth?

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) advises:
(a) As at 15 April 2016 (5pm), the Bunbury helicopter was dispatched 74 times.
(b) 69 primary care retrievals in response to 000 calls or road ambulance requests for assistance and five search and rescue (SAR) missions.
(c) Attendances where patients were transported to Hospital;
(i) Seven patients were taken to Bunbury Regional Hospital;
(ii) 21 patients were taken to a hospital in Perth.
(d) The Bunbury rescue helicopter completed one secondary care inter-hospital patient transfer (IHPT) to Perth.
