I refer to the Standing Committee on Estimates and Financial Operations, annual budget estimates hearings 2010-2011, transcript of evidence taken at Perth on Wednesday, 16 June 2010 - Session Four, and ask -
(1) What are the proposed aspects of the amendments to the
Conservation and Land Management Act 1984,
in respect of joint management of the conservation lands, on the Burrup and Dampier locations, associated with the Burrup and Maitland Industrial Estates Agreement Implementation Deeds?
(2) Are these amendments to fix the generic problems to all joint management lands, associated with the application of the
Conservation and Land Management Act 1984
?
(3) When does the Minister believe these amendments will be concluded and introduced into the House?

(1) The proposed amendments to the
Conservation and Land Management Act 1984
will help deliver the State's obligations under the Burrup and Maitland Industrial Estates Agreement to enable joint management of conservation lands on the Burrup and Dampier Peninsulas.
(2) The proposed amendments will enable joint management of lands in other locations throughout the State.
(3) I am giving the proposed amendments a high priority and I anticipate the
Conservation Legislation Amendment Bill 2010
will be introduced to Parliament in the near future.
