(a) State Government funding of $18.59 million over the financial years 2016-17 until 2020-21 has been approved. An additional $3.53 million in Australian Government funding has been leveraged.
(b) Under the Summary Investment Proposal for the Wild Dog Action Plan, the Medium and Long Term Outcomes are:
·         Reduction in the impact of wild dogs on livestock industries.
·         Increased co-investment in industry-based exclusion fencing.
·         Revitalisation of livestock industries in the southern rangelands attributable to wild dog control.
·         Increased livestock numbers in agricultural areas attributable to wild dog control.
Under the Summary Investment Proposal for the State Barrier Fence – Natural Resource Management, the Medium and Long Term Outcomes are:
·         Improve the effectiveness of the State Barrier Fence in controlling the movement of pest animals.
·         Reduction in the impact of wild dogs, kangaroos and emus and other pest animals on agricultural productivity and biodiversity.
·         Reduction in financial losses due to wild dogs and other pest animals in Western Australia.
