(a) what plans does the Department of Sport and Recreation have for the long term future of the facility;
(b) has the Department had any expressions of interest in the tender to operate the facility;
(c) if yes to (b), has a decision been made on a successful tenderer;
(d) has the Department any plans to redevelop or upgrade the facility, and if so, what are they and what is the estimated cost; and
(e) will local schools and community groups continue to have access to the facility?

a) The State Government, through the Department of Sport and Recreation,
intends to continue to provide the provision of recreation camp experiences and
physical activity programs through the Camp Quaranup facility.
b-c) A market testing exercise to continue outsourcing the Camp's operations
received a low level of interest from the private sector.
d) Any proposal to redevelop the facilities at Camp Quaranup will be
prioritised against other government budgetary requirements.
