I ask a supplementary question. I again refer to the Carnarvon-Ningaloo Coast Regional Strategy, which covers Carnarvon to Exmouth, and ask - (1) Does the strategy allow for the development of freehold residential blocks at any location apart from Exmouth and Carnarvon; and, if so, at what localities? (2) Does the strategy provide for the granting of freehold title to any tourism facility developers apart from those at Exmouth and Carnarvon; and, if so, at what localities? (3) What form of tenure is envisaged within tourism nodes, minor tourism nodes, eco-lodge nodes, homestead tourism nodes and coastal camping nodes? (4) Are there any freehold lots in the strategy area apart from Carnarvon and Exmouth; and, if so, where are they located? Hon KEN TRAVERS

I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) The strategy does not allow for the creation of residential blocks outside the towns of Exmouth and Carnarvon. Any future development on existing freehold lots at Vlamingh Head and Coral Bay will need to be consistent with the Ningaloo coast regional strategy and the regional interim development order. (2) No. (3) The strategy provides for leasehold opportunities to be made available for tourism nodes. Homestead nodes will remain part of the existing pastoral leases. Other options such as permits may also be appropriate depending on a number of factors such as the use under consideration, its relationship to other tourism development areas and the vesting arrangements for the land. Details are to be determined through the implementation processes of the strategy taking into account a range of matters outlined in the strategy. (4) Yes, Vlamingh Head and Coral Bay.
