Ms Meredith Hammat replied:I reject the premise
of the member's question. Obviously, we are making a range of investments in
our health system and hospitals. I have talked specifically about the upgrades
happening at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, which is in addition to the work we
have been doing to the increase of the capacity our system, particularly with
additional staff. There has been a 30% increase since 2021 in our nursing staff
and doctors. All these things are crucial to the ongoing success of our health
system. We are always looking at what more we need to do, and we will continue
to do that.
