Prisoners—Escapes
29. Hon Nick Goiran to
the minister representing the Minister for Corrective
Services:
I refer to the
minister's answer on 10 December 2025 to my question without notice 1258
wherein he advised that two investigations into prison escapes remain
outstanding, including one from as far back as 23 July 2024.
(1) Has either investigation been finalised?
(2) If yes to (1), will the minister provide a
summary of the outcomes of that investigation, just as his colleague the
Attorney General did following the McCullough escape investigation?
(3) If no to (1) or (2), why not?
(4) What is the total number of investigations
into escapes from custody that are currently outstanding?
