I refer to the ‘Ignite’ package announced in December 2007, and ask -
(1) Can the Minister confirm the total amount of funds committed for the ‘Ignite’ package have been expended or are under contract for expenditure?
(2) If no to (1), what is the total amount of the ‘Ignite’ funds that remain uncommitted?
(3) Of the ‘Ignite’ funds expended or contracted for expenditure, which organisations have received funding and how much has each received?
(4) For each of those organisations in (3) -
(a) what, if any, funds remain uncommitted;
(b) will any of the funds be expended on anything other than the original purpose; and
(c) if yes to (b), what is the process that is undertaken to reallocate funds for other than original purpose?

(2) Ignite funding was allocated over a four year period concluding in the 2011-12 financial year. Many aspects of this program have therefore not been concluded.
(3) The Ignite package comprised a range of funding streams, from capital allocations to the Department's Portfolio Organisations, one-off events and specific grant funding programs. I am happy for officers of the Department of Culture and the Arts to provide an appropriate briefing on actual allocations if required.
(4) Please see answer to question 3 above.
