(3) How many of the services referred to in (2) are in each of the four nominated My Way rollout areas: (a) in total; and (b) by area? (4) How many of the services referred to in (2) are in each of the 15 areas identified in the development of DSC’s Sector Development Plan? (5) For each of the four My Way areas (Goldfields, Lower South West, Cockburn Kwinana and Hills), where are the recipients of My Way services located? (6) How many people with disabilities are eligible for participation in the My Way program: (a) in total; and (b) by region? (7) How many people with disabilities have taken up the option of participating in the My Way program: (a) in total; and (b) by region? (8) How many people with disabilities declined the option of participating in the My Way program: (a) in total; and (b) by region? Part 1 is based on the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Survey of Disability and Ageing (2009).
(1) (a) 382,300 people in Western Australia have some form of disability; of these 60,300 people aged 0-64 years of age are estimated to have a severe or profound disability.
(b) 17.4 per-cent of the population has some form of disability, while people aged 0-64 years of age with a severe or profound disability represent three per-cent of the population.
(2) (a) 23,459.
(b) Of the 23,459 people in receipt of Disability Services Commission funded services 12,291 receive block funded services. Data for block funded services are not available within regional boundaries.
(3) (a) The recipients of services in the My Way locations have access to the full range of key services made available by the Commission.
(b) Not applicable.
(4) The Sector Development Plan documents provide an overview of the support and services used by people with disability in 15 areas. The plan is available at
www.disability.wa.gov.au
> Reform > Sector Development > Sector Development Plan.
(5) All people living in My Way locations who were connected with Local Area Coordinators were offered the choice of participating in My Way. The Commission aggregates data up to the regional level to protect the privacy of those in smaller communities.
(6) (a) Under the terms of
The Agreement Between the Commonwealth and the Western Australian Governments for Disability Reform in Western Australia
the potential eligible number of 8,400 applies to 30 June 2016. It is a derived number from Census responses on core needs for support.
(b) Lower South West and Kwinana-Cockburn 4,100

(7) To date over 1,600 people have indicated their willingness to participate in the My Way trials over the four sites.
(8) (a) 102 have declined at this stage.
(b) 48 in Cockburn/Kwinana
3 in Lower South-West
23 in Goldfields
28 in Perth Hills

(10) My Way coordinators can provide both LAC and My Way coordination services. However, at this stage if 1 FTE is dedicated as an LAC position in each of the My Way areas.

o 7.5 - Lower South-West
o 10 - Cockburn-Kwinana
o 10 - Perth Hills
