I refer to the remarks of the Minister for Health on 11 April 2002 when, in a response to a demonstration by Hon Colin Barnett, MLA and me of the amount of plant material that could be obtained from cannabis plants grown within the South Australian expiation notice system, he stated - . . . I asked one of my colleagues in the Police Department whether it could be construed as creating a belief or suspicion that an offence exists that the police can investigate . . . and ask - (1) Did the police receive such an inquiry from the Minister for Health; and, if so, through which means of communication? (2) Which police officer fielded the inquiry and what was the response given to the Minister for Health? (3) Was the approach reported to the Minister for Police and Emergency Services at the time; and, if so, by what means? Hon NICK GRIFFITHS
