As at 20 March 2003, and in accordance with section 143 of the Land Administration Act 1997, the leaseholders of 6 pastoral stations have elected to accept the terms of their notified exclusions. The leaseholders of 53 pastoral stations have elected to enter negotiations. The Minister considers that no demonstrable public interest would be served by releasing information on the individual choices of these pastoralists. As many pastoralists have not yet returned their election forms, their considerations should not be influenced by premature disclosures.
