I refer to the contract that Corrections Corporation of Australia has to operate the new Acacia Prison. (1) Has CCA sought to recruit staff from people formerly employed in privatised prisons in the eastern States of Australia? (2) Did some of the people sought to be recruited by CCA lose their jobs when the privatised prisons were judged to be below standard and the operators sacked? (3) Did some former employees of the eastern States privatised prisons receive job application forms from CCA before the jobs in the privatised prison were advertised in this State? Hon PETER FOSS

Of course, the activities of CCA with regard to hiring are matters for CCA, but I would be happy to take that question on notice and make inquiries of the company.
