I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. The honourable member would be aware that construction of the Karratha-Tom Price road was one of the many promises made by the previous government that it failed to deliver. In stark contrast, the state Labor government is delivering on the building of the major infrastructure needed to progress our state. Our 2001 election commitment was to spend $100 million on sealing this road, and we exceeded this. Total expenditure on stages 1 and 2 is budgeted at $152 million. These two projects—the first completed, and the second underway—will see 115 kilometres sealed. The remaining stages are subject to further budget processes.
