I refer to the government’s announcement to build 300 new social housing units, and I ask: (a) Will the building of the new houses be subject to a tender process; (b) If not, how will the contract to build the new houses be awarded; (c) Can the Minister confirm if there will be 300 new homes as identified in the media release or 350 homes as the Minister stated on Gareth Parker’s program on 3 December 2019; and (d) Will the Minister provide a breakdown of the social housing units by metropolitan region and each regional area? If not, why not?

(c) Through the package, the Department of Communities will deliver a minimum of 300 new public housing properties throughout Western Australia.
(d) Of the 300 new homes, 70% will be constructed in the metropolitan region and 30% will be built in regional areas. The location of the sites will be determined over the coming months.
