VIOLENT SEX OFFENDERS —
PAROLE
1326. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the minister's
answer on 31 August to question without notice 958 that was asked the previous
day and revealed that 47 return to prison warrants were outstanding.
(1) How many return to prison
warrants are currently outstanding?
(2) How many are for an offender
who is known to be in custody in another jurisdiction?
(3) Of the remainder —
(a) should the community be on the
look out for any of these fugitives; and
(b) for how many days has the oldest
warrant been outstanding?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. I answer on behalf of the Minister for Emergency Services.
There is nothing in Hon Stephen Dawson's
file. We will check whether it is available and if it comes in before the end
of question time, I will provide the answer then.
