DIPLOMA GROUP DEVELOPMENT — LOT 101 HAY
STREET EAST PERTH
1230. Hon MARTIN PRITCHARD to the
Minister for Planning:
I refer to Diploma Group's
letter to the Australian Securities Exchange dated 9 September 2016 in which it
stated that it has development approval from the Metropolitan Redevelopment
Authority to undertake development at lot 101 Hay Street, East Perth.
(1) When does the MRA expect
construction to start and be completed?
(2) Has the MRA received payment for
the site; and, if so, when?
(3) In granting
both the preferred proponent and development approval to Diploma Group, was
consideration given to —
(a) the financial capacity of Diploma
Group to deliver the development;
(b) the Building Commission's
investigation into Diploma Group; and
(c) media reports
of unpaid contractors, and Diploma's removal from two metropolitan
construction projects?
(4) If yes to any part of (3), what
impact did that consideration have?
