Metronet—Commercial leases
1278. Hon Anthony Spagnolo to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
On 13 August 2024,
the Deputy Premier's office advised the owners of the Commercial Bar + Kitchen,
which is located at 70 Railway Parade, Midland, that the Public Transport
Authority had been asked to determine potential costs for further consideration
of a request to resurface the business's private car park in light of impacts
associated with Metronet's new Midland station project. The matter was
subsequently the subject of a site inspection on 10 September 2024 involving
PTA personnel and contractors. The business reports that it has received no final
determination since that time.
(1) Is the minister aware of this request and the
timeline outlined in the preamble?
(2) Has the Public Transport Authority provided a
cost determination or estimate to the Deputy Premier's office and, if so, on
what date and for what amount?
(3) If no cost determination has been provided,
why has this not occurred despite the referral and site inspection undertaken
in 2024?
(4) Which agency and which
officer identified by position title is currently responsible for finalising
this matter?
(5) When will the business receive a final
decision?
