1220. Hon Michelle Boylan to the minister representing
the Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence:
I refer to the
answer to my question without notice 1201 and the coercive control public
awareness advertising campaign.
(a) Beyond the August 2024 omnibus survey and
December 2024 follow-up survey, have any additional community awareness surveys
been conducted?
(b) Will the minister table the initial omnibus
survey report and the follow-up survey report?
(c) How much has been spent to date on the
coercive control public awareness advertising campaign?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following response has
been provided by the Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence.
The Department of
Communities advises the following.
(a)–(c) The coercive control campaign was
funded via a $5 million state government commitment over two years to June
2026. Omnibus surveys are being undertaken to evaluate community understanding of
coercive control.
