DEPARTMENT FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - CHILD PROTECTION
I have a supplementary question. After 17 contacts with the department, why was this baby not considered a high-risk child, and is this further evidence of systemic failure within the minister’s department? Mr D.A. TEMPLEMAN

AnswerView source ↗

The death of any vulnerable child is of concern to this government, and the government will make sure that there is appropriate screening of any child who is reported to the department or for whom concerns have been raised, and that the issues regarding that child’s safety are of paramount importance.
