DOLPHINS — MONKEY
MIA
58. Hon ALISON XAMON to the Minister for Environment:
I refer to the dolphin feeding
program at Monkey Mia.
(1) Has the independent review of
the Monkey Mia food provisioning program been completed?
(2) If no to (1), when does the
minister expect the review to be complete?
(3) Will the minister please table
the review?
(4) If no to (3), why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(4) The
Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions commissioned a review
report as part of a broad review into dolphin provisioning at Monkey Mia.
Information from a range of sources, including the review report, will be
considered by DBCA in developing an updated dolphin provisioning plan for
Monkey Mia.
The review report is currently being
peer reviewed. Consideration of tabling the report will be given when the
report is complete.
