I refer the minister to the Australian Labor Party policy “promoting a healthier community”, which states - As part of our support for community health, Labor will: . . . · reinvigorate the role of child health nurses and other community health workers so that they become part of a well-supported and professional Statewide network of services with a clear mission, credible leadership and support; (1) Will the minister confirm that the north metropolitan population health division, covering Nedlands, Perth, Wanneroo, Stirling and Joondalup, has been ordered to cut $275 000 from its budget? (2) Is the minister aware that these funding cuts will target child health centres, school health nurses, Aboriginal hospital liaison officers, migrant health workers and child development centres? (3) Will the minister also confirm that his Government has cut $150 000 from capital subsidies for child health centres? Mr J.A. McGINTY
