ABORIGINAL CULTURAL HERITAGE ACT — UNITED
NATIONS
647. Hon Dr BRAD PETTITT to the Leader of the House representing the
Minister for Aboriginal Affairs:
I refer to the Aboriginal Cultural
Heritage Act 2021 and the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial
Discrimination.
(1) Has the
government had any correspondence with or provided any advice to the federal
government regarding —
(a) the matters
raised in UNCERD's letter of 3 December 2021;
(b) the
twenty-first and twenty-second combined periodic report requested by UNCERD in
a letter dated 29 August 2022; or
(c) any other
matters raised by UNCERD relating to the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021?
(2) If yes to any of (a) to (c), will the minister
please table this correspondence or advice; and, if not, why not?

record of receiving any letter from UNCERD dated 29 August 2022.
(c) No.
(2) Yes. I will
