The WAPC leased the land to the City of Bayswater with the intention that the land would be added to Crown Reserve 24708 (bordered green on tabled map) together with the vacant Crown land (bordered yellow). The whole of the wetlands would then be placed under the management of the City of Bayswater. The WAPC provided an Area Assistance Grant to the City to transition the WAPC land to the Crown Reserve management arrangement. The City of Bayswater has not confirmed its intention in relation to the future management of the wetland, however, the Department of Planning is working with the City to resolve any outstanding issues that may be of concern.
