maintenance
735. Hon Anthony Spagnolo to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Health Infrastructure:
I refer to Sir
Charles Gairdner Hospital. What was the total amount spent on repairs and
maintenance by the North Metropolitan Health Service in each of the following

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. I provide the following
answer on behalf of the Minister for Health Infrastructure .
North Metropolitan
Health Service manages repairs, maintenance and consumable equipment funding
across its service areas. The table below represents repairs, maintenance and
consumable equipment costs reported by North Metropolitan Health Service. These
works do not include minor works undertaken by the health service, or the
significant investment that the Cook government has and will continue to
deliver at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, including upgrades to laboratories
and an additional cyclotron, upgrades to the emergency department and urgent
critical care toxicology facilities, an intensive care unit, an image-guided
theatre, replacement and refurbishment of the biplanar digital angiography
units, and a new CT scanner. Works recently completed at Sir Charles Gairdner
Hospital include the cardiac catheter laboratory, interventional radiology
rooms and ward refurbishment.
The rest of the
answer is in tabular form. I seek leave to have it incorporated into Hansard .
