(1) The Department's records do not differentiate between flued or unflued gas room heaters. However, in July 2008 a Building Condition Assessment Program commenced which involves inspecting all properties constructed prior to 1990. As part of this program, flued and unflued room heater information is being collected.
(2) 1,546 gas room heaters were serviced however records do not identify which of these are flued or unflued.
(3) Currently none. However the Department plans to introduce an education program.
(4) The Department is developing proposals for a program of appliance servicing for all unflued gas heaters. Heaters deemed unserviceable will be removed or replaced with new units.
(5) To be determined.
