I refer to the recent announcement
by the WA government and rail operator Arc Infrastructure regarding upgrades to
the Midland railway. What financial contingency measures are included in the
project to address road repairs necessitated by the increase in traffic on the
roads by grain trucks during the rail line repairs?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The works will not be conducted during the grain
harvest. As such, no increase in truck traffic is anticipated.
