the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer the minister
to the proposed motorsport facility within the Burswood Park precinct.
(1) Why is a brand new motorsport facility being
proposed in an ecologically sensitive area when an existing circuit, CARCO.com.au,
the Wanneroo Raceway, already exists and could be upgraded?
(2) Has an environmental comparison been conducted
between the environmental impact of redeveloping the Wanneroo facility versus
constructing an entirely new venue on public parkland?
(3) Will the minister advocate for a full and
transparent evaluation of existing infrastructure alternatives before
permitting further works at Burswood Park?
