(a)
On 23 November 2022, the Department of Communities (Communities) established the State-wide Builders Panel (Builders Panel) to accelerate the State Government’s delivery of new social housing and the refurbishment of current social housing dwellings. The Panel was established in response to industry requests to support very small to medium businesses across Western Australia.
The Builders Panel is only one of several panels and procurement processes to deliver new social housing in Western Australia.  As of 30 November 2023, there are 140 dwellings contracted through the State-wide Builders Panel to a value of over $60 million.
