The Public Transport Authority advises:
(1) Yes.
(2)(a) By the end of 2012.
(b) Audits are part of the Public Transport Authority's (PTA) Safety Management System which is a requirement of the PTA's rail safety accreditation. The PTA is audited annually by the Office of Rail Safety to ensure the PTA complies with all requirements.
(c) Audits are conducted by various PTA personnel who have received audit training.
